No Need To Shut The Door

China

From fishing home, I leave the boat untied
Just right for sleep - the moon o'er the river wide.
Though it be driven in a night's rainstorm,
It will be found somewhere by the waterside.

No need to shut the door of a mud hut small;
I slowly leave the lichen-covered hall.
If guests arrive, the boy will look for me
In yonder woods, or by the waterfall.
